Ancient mechanical fish by omegaptera Ancient mechanical fish by omegaptera
The main detail of this work is a fragment of antique buckle. This is a brass crest patinated to black by time. I wanted to save original color of that piece. So the main objective was to join all the parts together without soldering. Well I joined them mechanically by rivets and screws.
Another interesting detail of this work is the fish eye with pyrite ammonite. Ammonite protected by glass.
And the last feature. The fish is not flat and double-sided. Sides has a little diference.
